Eternal Doom for Switch is now ready to be a digital version only

The fans waiting for the Eternal Doom exit on Nintendo Switch had enough waiting. To begin, the last entry of the long-standing DOOM franchise was originally exiting last year on November 22 - however, a month before the exit, the ID Software developer announced that the game would be postponed to March 20, 2020, with Change the version being set to go out later . What exactly means later , we still do not know it because the game did not receive a confirmed release date for the Nintendo console, while PC, PS4 and Xbox One users have the game in hand since 8 months now.

The confusion about the Nintendo Switch version of the game has reached a record level this week while Gamestop started calling customers to cancel their pre-order. At that time, there was no confirmation of canceling the switching version of the game by Bethesda, but the rumors started to circulate. The fans started thinking that the game had been canceled and simply had not yet been announced, or that Gamestop had made a mistake by removing the sku from the game of their system. Bethesda ended up talking on the subject, answering a Twitter user they announced no cancellation for the game.

We did not make any announcements on the cancellation of Eternal Doom for Switch.

Of course, the declaration specifically indicates that they have not announced cancellation, but that does not mean that the game is not canceled.

Well, do not worry anymore, Switch fans, the game is not canceled. A Bethesda representative confirmed in an interview with IGN this morning that the Switch version of the game is not canceled but now a digital version only.

In a statement to the IGN, a spokesman for Bethesda said:

While Eternal Doom is 100% on the right track for an imminent digital output on Nintendo Switch, the absence of detail physical output resulted in the cancellation of pre-orders.

They added: Customers concerned will receive a full refund and must contact their favorite dealer for more information.

Although they never did an announcement on an expected release date, the representative used the word imminent to describe the only digital output, so it seems that fans can probably expect the Game comes soon on the eshop.
