DOOM ETERNAL is preparing to accommodate a horde mode
The most attentive may have noticed the release of a short teaser video posted on the YouTube channels of Bethesda: it is an excerpt of about thirty seconds, which announces the next release of the 6.66 update of DOOM ETERNAL. It will apparently be the biggest free update that the game has seen since its release in March 2020, and it will add a horde mode and a redesign of multiplayer mode.
There is frankly much to say more, otherwise the Horde mode is supposed to replace the invasion mode that should have allowed to invade the part of other players in the skin of a demon, but has been canceled Shortly after the release of the game. Instead, the next update will therefore propose to survive successive waves of enemies by making our score multiplier magnify the most points. In addition to this new arcade mode, DOOM ETERNAL will also see its revised BattleMode multiplayer in version 2.0, with a new arena, a seemingly reworked matchmaking and new master levels.
The 6.66 update is expected for October 26, and Hugo Martin will present it live on Twitch tonight at 1:30 (Paris time).
