Eiking at Vuelta next front

Eiking reached the goal on Sunday with the group of favorites. The outsider had taken over the red jersey after the tenth stage of twice overall winner Primoz Roglic. The Slovene is still third with 1:36 minutes of the third, two seconds is 54 seconds behind Eiking the Frenchman Guillaume Martin.

After 197.5 kilometers of Navalmoral de la Mata to El Barraco, the day win to El Barraco brought himself to the Pole Rafal Majka after a long solo flight. Second, with 87 seconds, residue of the Dutch Steven Kruijswijk from the Jumbo Visa team of defending champion Roglic. Four roads, including two of the first category, were to be mastered on the section.

After the rest day on Monday, the Spain tour 2021 is then continued on Tuesday with the 16th section of Laredo to Santa Cruz de Bezana. The third large state tour of the year ends on 5 September with a single time trial in Santiago de Compostela.
